No, I haven't, which is why I didn't declare it THE most awful flick ever made, just ONE of the most awful flicks ever made.

    A big difference.

But I am sure you knew this already......

I think that the part with the bathing suit purchase made this very clear -- and while Winslett is a hottie, she played the role of a plain house wife very well and there is no question that Connelly was much more hot, at least in terms of being sexy (though we find out she was the ice princess, which is why her husband started porking Winslett's character in the first place) in this movie.

As for who is hotter when both are trying to be, I think Winslett wins that one but in this movie, they made her plain enough that she was believable as this bored house wife.

Saw Wolverine today. Going in with very low expectations, I was surprised and entertained. Light years better than X3, on par with X-Men and X2, not as good as Dark Knight. I didn't care for some of the liberties they took with Deadpool (kinda fucked the character up, IMO) and would it have killed them to have Gambit speak with an authentic cajun accent?

Also, if you're planning to see it, stay for after the credits. And I mean the entire credits. Don't be fooled by the first snippet after the credits begin to roll.

I'm watching "The Last Hurrah" - Spencer Tracy stars as a fading big city mayor, directed by John Ford. For a political junkie, its irresistible and holds up quite well.

    The Wrestler.

    Blown completely away.

Depth of acting was phenomenal, from Rourke to Tomei to Wood. Perfect depiction of a tortured soul.

"I'm just a broken down piece of meat."

And .... (don't want to be accused of spoilerism).

Liked the Sopranos-esque ending a lot. I don't think I could have taken seeing Ram die while making his signature move. Not sure if he did or not. Maybe the brief blackout before the excellent Springsteen song was supposed to symbolize that. Maybe not. I don't know.

This one is going to stick with me for a while.

    Tremendous, tremendous flick. Bravo.

Now I'm on to "Nothing But The Truth" - Rod Lurie (The Contender) has fictionalized the Valerie Plame outing - good stuff - Vera Farmiga as the outed agent is great, Kate Beckensale plays the pseudo-Judy Miller. Solid supporting cast, but I didn't buy Matt Dillon as the special prosecutor.

Floyd Abrams, yeah THAT Floyd Abrams, playing the judge was an ironic touch.

I've broken down sobbing at the end of one movie, ever.

    Emma Thompson's "Wit".

    Sonuvabitch.

    Runaway Bunny. My back.

Is that one where Tom Hanks lands at Normandy on D-Day and gets a job as Jessica Tandy's driver?

Or was that "Driving Private Ryan?"

Oh, I don't really think it'd be that close.

Winslet's beauty is classic, you can trace it back to even the great silent stars. You look around, you won't find many women who look like her or have her presence. She has what Meryl Streep has.

Connelly, on the other hand...there's a couple too-skinny girls at the tanning salon who look like her.

Very focused, detailed drama. The kind a reporter can appreciate.

Tomei is especially terrific. Really nailed the distrustful/cynical aspect of her character. And the casting is good, too, because Tomei has young eyes but the surrounding face of woman her own age or slightly older - I'd be surprised if she's had much plastic surgery - so the camera occasionally captures her looking, oh, 25-30, then looking her age in another scene, depending on the light of the club.

And there is a moment of very strange humor right in the middle of the film.
