    Interesting.

You're fairly cynical. Try Scarlet Street.

  3. Seen it.
It was on TMC a few years ago. It was very good as well.

    Ah. Payback is an homage.

Just watched The Master. It's on my shortlist for worst movie I've seen. It was 2 1/2 hours of nothing happening. For so many big stars, it's especially surprising. I kept checking to see how much longer it had left, and kept being disappointed in what it was. Don't waste your time.

Just got in from X-Men: Days of Future Past. Saw it with my wife and little OOP. My wife doesn't like comics, but she had seen most of the X-Men movies with me (not The Last Stand). Little OOP hadn't seen any of them.

On the down side, both of them were confused at times. There is a good bit of violence and at one point, my daughter (who is nearly 11) got scared, though she couldn't really explain why later. By the end, she was telling me it was cool and saying she liked it better than Avengers. There is some profanity and one quick bit of nudity (Not counting Mystique being naked every time she is in her blue form). Just things to keep in mind if you are thinking of bringing younger children.

There are some changes to the characters that might bother comics fans, but I thought it was fine. It really helps to have seen X-Men: First Class, if just to better understand the relationships involving Xavier, Magneto, Beast and Mystique.

On the plus side, all three of us enjoyed it. There was enough action and humor to keep my wife and daughter entertained even if the time travel aspect did lose them in places and there were a lot of characters they don't know. I do think it is a more enjoyable movie for a fan of the comics, especially if you have read both the original books and Ultimate X-Men as I have. The mutant speedster, referred to only as Peter Maximoff rather than Quicksilver, is a scene-stealer.

Also, there is a scene at the end of the credits, one that will mean absolutely nothing to you unless you have read the comics or watched the cartoons.

Just returned from seeing X-Men: DoFP and enjoyed it. I wish there was more screen time for the future cast/mutants, just maybe an extra five or ten minutes.

I loved the end credits, everyone else in the theater sort of moaned and obviously have not read the comics.

    Face/Off
This is the greatest action movie of the late 1990s.

I was kind of disappointed with the look of the character in the end credits. Seems like they altered and boosted the powers, too.

Regarding the future mutants, I thought they might give them a little more to do. Sunspot and Warpath would both be candidates for the rumored X-Force movie. Blink is just a fun character, though I can't say I loved the casting. She didn't exactly look like a Clarice Ferguson (the character's real name).

Have I become a complete wuss that the end of League of Their Own now produces a few tears? Especially the credit roll?

Not really. If you've ever been part of a sibling rivalry, it will get to you.
