22 Jump Street. VERY Funny. may be better than the first.

There is no post-credit scene, but the credits are funny as shit.

Took little OOP to see Maleficent today. Meh. Basically stole the concept from Wicked and applied it to the story of Sleeping Beauty. As kid-friendly movies go, How to Train Your Dragon 2 was much better.

That said, my little one really enjoyed Maleficent.

An indie flick that came out in 2012. It was highly rated on Amazon, so I gave it a whirl.

Neat story, good acting and it was entertaining.

Overall I enjoyed it, But I kept, waiting hoping Bruce was going to get a savage beating.

    And Lizzy Caplan is cute.

Agree with Dan and Johnny the conclusion of Captain Phillips is very good. Overall? Well-made movie but it seemed to drag on a bit long.

Decided to start rewatching the Lord of the Rings trilogy for, oh I don't know, the fourth or fifth time. Watched Fellowship of the Ring tonight. God I love that f**king movie.
I mean, it's incredible and unbelievably long but it holds my attention which is no small feat since I've noticed I have absolutely no attention span anymore.
Going to watch the Two Towers and Return of the King in the next few days and then, perhaps for the first time, jump into the Hobbit films. Not sure yet though as I kind of want to wait for all three Hobbits to be out on Extended Blu Ray but we'll see. Love me some Middle Earth.

I finally watched "Captain Phillips" a couple weeks ago.
    I thought it was alright.

I think terrible is overstating it, but they don't capture the viewer the way the LOTR trilogy did. Making the book into a trilogy of 3-hour movies was a dreadful idea. Two 2-hour movies might have made for compelling viewing, but the studios knew they could make hundreds of millions more with a third film.

Peter Jackson needs a ruthless editor in the worst way.

I enjoyed the hell out of "Desolation of Smaug," but yeah, "An Unexpected Journey" was awful.

Her. Decent, and thought provoking, but had some really weird scenes.
