  1. Oldboy .. U.S. version with Josh Brolin.

    Good, mindfuck flick.

One of the fight seasons - a nod to the cheesey Asian fight scenes - was pretty campy. The plot was good, the end - half of which I suspected - was a jaw-dropper, in its audacity.

Not a great movie by any stretch.. But a good way to kill two hours. And film I prolly don't want to see again.

  3. I almost pulled the plug on See No Evil Hear No Evil.
I saw it in the theatre and at the time thought it was the funniest damn thing I ever. Ever.
I recall the woman in the shower was smoking hot, as well.

I'm afraid to re-watch for fear it will suck.

It's not the best of the five Wilder/Pryor movies, but not the worst either.

Authors Anonymous from Redbox today. Rented it because I like Kaley Cuoco, who was EP and played the lead and because it was about writers. Some of it rang true with my experience (as in, we're nucking futs) and it had amusing moments. It'll be interesting to see how Cuoco fares behind the camera moving forward. It rate this one as OK.

New Jack Ryan movie - was what it was, and was worth a watch

Hercules - when all the fucks stars align, you get a massive ball of fuck, which this is.

Dallas Buyers Club - I feel bad for all the other actors who thought they were winning best actor, because they had no chance. That crazy Texan just made the movie, which I don't think is that great without him. Just an acting showcase from everyone involved.

"Jersey Boys" on Thursday night. Flawed, but enjoyable.

Actually, it reminded a lot of "That Thing You Do!", with the whole rise-and-fall scenario.

I take it that you had not seen the original.

So I take it you won't be seeing the other Hercules film this year?

    I really enjoyed The Soloist.

  12. Correct.

I avoid non-English movies. I can count the number of sub-titled movies I've seen one hand.
