"The Family" with DeNiro as a mobster in WITSEC. Wife is Michelle Pfeifer, a son and daughter played by one of the Glee kids. And Tommy Lee Jones as a federal agent. Pretty good.

They're hiding in France, so there's a whole fish out of water aspect, while the wife and kids are just as f*cked up as dad. Never heard so many f-bombs dropped in 100 minutes.

I love the original Oldboy, but I didn't think Spike Lee did too badly with the remake. And any movie that has Samuel L. Jackson -- in a bleach blond mohawk-- declaring he "swears before God and eight other white people" is worth watching.

This movie was pretty bad. Not terrible, but definitely not good.

    Wolf of Wall Street

One of half of the movie is amazing, and the other half is pure shit.

Let's just say I recommended stopping instead of fast forwarding.

    Two entries ...

Last night, Crystal Fairy and the Magical Cactus. Enjoyed it, but after watching this movie and this season of Girls, I really don't need to see Gaby Hoffman's bush again.

Tonight, Short Term 12. Fucking emotional roller coaster. Outstanding film, but bring a box of tissues along. Holy shit did that kick me in the ass.

July 4, so Captain America. Still think its one of the better Marvel movies, origin story and otherwise.

  7. The Lone Ranger.
Easy to see why it was panned. Too fucking long and too boring.

That should have been so much better.

    Watched two movies today:

First, About Time - cute movie about time travel, love and living life to the fullest. Enjoyable film.

Second, Inside Llewyn Davis - Although there is little resolution, still a fantastic film with music that'll make you want to buy the soundtrack.

American Graffiti. If you don't consider it one of the greatest American movies ever, you are under rating it.

Pride of the Yankees last night on MLB.

Fell asleep before the big speech but up to then, what a great little movie. Cooper and Wright had great chemistry. She was such a cutie pie and he portrayed innocence so well.

The quick-pitch montages of city to city, ballpark to ballpark, was outstanding too.

Saw About Time in the theater (I think the discussion is on this thread.) Cute, fun little film. Domhnall Gleeson was very good as the main character, Tim. I'd never seen him before. Apparently, his previous claim to fame was playing one of the older Weasley brothers in some of the Harry Potter movies. He is also part of the cast for Star Wars VII.

Bill Nighy stole just about every scene he was in as Tim's father.
