Lee Enterprises near bankruptcy

I got my W2 last week from Lee. I have no complaints about the time it took to get it. Lee was also quick sending my final pay check and severance.

 

No wonder I always feel a day behind.

 

Was told yesterday by some Lee employees in my neck of the woods (not StL or RC) that the furlough bus just drove over them.

 

Hey! guess what? I still did not receive them today (W2). We did get an email from HR-stl 2:30p informing us they were lost in the mail. Davenport is trying to locate them through their local post office. The email also stated that they are being re-printed and will be re-mailed. I don't think they sent them out until yesterday 02/06/09.

 

At least you know where they are in the process now. And if you have future questions, to direct them to your HR department.

 

Wonder if people in the HR department were laid off or furloughed?

 

Right! sometimes I fear going to work, not knowing if I will have a job or not by the end of the day. I have seen so many people leave. We are all on pins and needles. Stl is so sad, there isn't any laughter or smiling faces in the building. Everyone looks so stressed out.

 

I just read the email on LEE WATCH. It posted the email I received word for word (W2). Mr. Good, I deserve an apology from you. You (your wife) commented so negatively on an issue you really did not know anything about. Sometimes people should listen or research, than just assume they know.

No one assumed anything, chief. I stated a fact. You're the one who assumed I both worked in Iowa and was a janitor. Next time, just don't assume, OK?
