I know, I know. But what if you met a Republican who took each person on his/her individual merit? That would blow your mind, wouldn't it?

  4. AB, is this like the one about when Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and the Great Pumpkin come to an intersection...

Apparently, anyone who is a celebrity has surrendered the right to human dignity.

I can beat this, and I just spent about three minutes nonstop laughing about it.

    I had it on VCR.

    "And the winner is..."

    Boom. Boston Legal. :)

I mean, how perfect was that after spending the last how-ever-many months watching it all?

(BTW, Rhody, it's already on YouTube. That's how I got it.)

One comment on the show. Does anyone else think Amanda Overmyer may enter the witness-protection program in order to avoid the production numbers of an American Idol tour? O...M...G.

Rhody and shotty, it's good to know I have company. I just got to the end of the show ...

"And the winner is ... David!"

... End of show. Fortunately, remembering what happened a year ago, the last thing I did before going to work was tape the local news so that if it did run long, I would actually be able to see them announce the winner tonight.

Of course, there's a slight delay from the one show to the next, so when I began the news, there was a moment where I couldn't tell who won. Then they panned to Kansas City and I finally knew.

Good for Cook. I've been rooting for him all season. America got this one right. Way to rep KC.

It's easy to mock American Idol, but I think David Cook didn't need his name read at the end to make his mark. He held his own with ZZ Top, while Archuleta seemed unable to command the stage. Also glad to see the other contestants. Can't help but think we'd have had two different finalists except for some bad song choices early. Still dig Chickeze, Michael Johns, Carly, and Syesha. Still don't know how Castro and Brooke and KLC lasted as long as they did. Hell, I even thought Mike Myers was funny.

Apparently America has better taste than I thought. Thank God they got this one right.

I thought Myers was funny as well... I agree that Cook will go down as one of the better contestants in the show's history and will have a very good career...

    Simon's apology was crap.

I think we viewers may have been misled by just how popular Eddie Munster was. 12 million votes is a rout. I'm surprised they announced that disparity.

I thought overall the show was fantastic, but I loved the 80's. Not sure what happened to George Michael but he was in fine voice, I thought.

Oh, and I thought the Pips were inspired. Although if I hadn't just seen his movie last week, I wouldn't have recognized Downey.
