Rock chick can't sing as well as Noriega, but she has carved out a niche. And drag queens dress better than rock chick.
I know there are no exit polls for American Idol, no John King with the magic board and whatnot, but I really wonder if the speculation/gossip about Hernandez and Noriega hurt their chances. It would bother me if it did.

  2. Speculation about Noriega? I don't think that's speculation.
Hernandez isn't flaming, even if he is gay (and I believe he is). I doubt there is anyone past the age of 5 who thinks Noriega prefers peaches over bananas.

If next week is 90s week, one of the gals ought to do a song in BYH's honor: Trigger-Happy Jack by Poe.

Would have been interesting to see Noriega stick around for no other reason than to sing "It's Raining Men" on 80s day

  6. it was 80s day, wasn't it?

After Freddie Mercury and Wham in consecutive weeks, I wonder who Luke would've sung in 90s week ...

  7. Next week is Beatles.

I know it won't happen, but it'd be neat to see the contestants work with McCartney.

    It's going to be brutal.

Some thoughts of good horses for courses for Beatles Week:
--David Cook, While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
    --Amanda Overmyer, Helter Skelter.
    --Michael Johns, Day Tripper
    --Brooke White, In My Life.
    --Kristy Lee Cook, Rocky Raccoon
    --Jacuzzi, Something.

Entertainment Weekly said the 12 contestants had a total of 25 songs to pick from. I expect the week to suck. Just my guess. I gather we'll get the Beatles Greatest Hits and not some of their more artistic songs.
