    No.
She wouldn't miss a putt inside of a foot in a million years.

I'd like to see an uncut full version of her approaching the putt, and everything that happened after.

You'd like to see more uncut than that, perv.

Does she always pick up the ball and line it up again for a one foot putt? The sequence, seen in snippets, just seems odd.

Lexi still would have been penalized, even with these new stipulations. It wasn't as though her actions were not noticeable with the naked eye, and she sure as hell didn't use reasonable judgment to mark her ball an inch away from where it should have been. If this is the new definition of "reasonable," we might as not have a rules book at all.

Still a ton of wiggle room for the governing bodies. Lexi could argue that she didn't mean to do it but an official could still overrule her "reasonable judgment" and slap the penalty. I suspect down the road that we'll find out which rules officials are out for blood.

But they had to do something to take care of Nordqvist and her grains-of-sand movement in the bunker. That was awful and increased technology will only catch more of those circumstances, and that's not always fair.

Is there a rules official walking with every group on at least the major tours? I'm honestly asking, and if there's not, there should be.

Even if there is (and I don't know whether there is or isn't), they don't get that up close and personal. No rules official is sitting there eyeballing where the player marks his/her ball on the green, nor would there be one crouched behind a bunker or hazard with a pair of binoculars.

There usually is a rules official with the lead groups in a tournament's final round, and there are always officials on call on the course, because players are wisely taught to ask questions before taking any action involving the rules.

Right. It's only common sense to bring in a rules official. But those officials aren't there like umpires or referees in other sports.

If they saw a violation, they'd make the equivalent of a call, but that's a real little ball in a lot of landscape.
