I prefer the flex fits as well, so much more comfortable and easier to find than a fitted cap for my 7 5/8 dome.

Used to wear one every day including to work, but since becoming a sports editor at a daily, I pretty much only wear one when golfing or on a drive with the top off my jeep or one of the rare times I am actually at a game as a fan.

  3. I wanna punch people in the face for wearing those wide, flat brimmed hats.

I have a wide variety of caps for golf and outdoors in the summer due to my, uh, naturally high forehead (yeah, that's it). They range from Reed Tool Co. to the cap of the Toulouse, France rugby team to the old Ricky Craven Tide racing cap. For winter, I have a variety of stocking caps. The felt ones are warmest.

Love the simple logo hats. Don't give me stripes or logos and words, oversized logos, multiple logos, off-center logos...
As a kid, I always wanted a hat that no one else was wearing. Sent away for my first fitted hat, a White Sox from Roman Pro, for a west coast kid, that was pretty sweet. Now I see more Yankees and Braves hats than more local teams.
Hats you never see? Rays, Diamondbacks and Rockies. Also can't say when the last time I saw someone with a fitted Cubs hat.

Hate the Flex Fit hats. Hate the flat brimmed hats.

Given that I go with the shaved head look, a hat only matters in the summer and when it is cold/rainy. All my hats are perfectly beat to hell and have been repeatedly worn in the ocean/pool and folded into various coat pockets. My favorite is one from the Biltmore course in Coral Gables which has to be at least 10 years old, maybe 15.

The single worst kind of hat is the velcro strap fit, where unless your head is the exact size to allow the straps to match up, you inevitably will be uncomfortable and your hair will stick to the strap in weird ways. I've been given a few of those, with designs I like, and I can't wear them.

I've yet to see an official draft hat or championship hat that looks good.

I'm a big fan of the simple to size 47 brand faded hats.
