That's cool, I was wondering if he would be a stiff there, but maybe not. Is the first-base market really so thin that the Tigers couldn't sign someone with a little more pop?

  2. Nixon is athletic but funny enough he gets hurt doing stupid things. Like he hurt his back by driving from NC to spring training one year and this year he hurt his ribcage checking a swing.

He does absolutley KILL the ball at Comerica. He's like Joe Carter at Fenway Park good out there in Detroit. Not sure if I can explain it but he'd have 20 HR at home if healthy for the Tigers

  3. The only name 1st baseman who has filed so far is Nomar who I think would give you similar numbers at 1st as Trot Nixon for the Tigers.

However, I think the Angels will make a push for Nomar. He helps the Angels marketing wise while at the same time his signing would be just another stab at the Dodgers. Good business move by Anaheim nee Los Angeles.

Admit it: Everything was fine until the you heart Wade Boggs comment. :D ;D ;D

See, if you'd just stuck around all those times instead of self-nuking yourself, you'd be at like 29,793 posts and this wouldn't be an issue. :D

PS: You're one post away from Morgan Magic.

  9. I almost nuked myself again but now the mods have to approve deleting an account.

    My loophole has been closed!!

Damn you mods and your post counting ways!!

(And yes - the Wade Boggs bit was the fuse that almost lit my bomb)

  10. What are the chances of Sean Casey returning to the Reds?

If they were dumb enough to make the Kearns/Lopez trade, and to deal for Guardado, they may just be dumb enough to bring him back. I'd say pretty good.

Are his big numbers at Comerica a result of the park or is it due to the Tigers pitchers not knowing how to pitch to him?
