We'll see tonight when they play the Pacers who are a solid team.

I bet by next week Baron Davis will be starting for Lin.

If you watch Lin he tends to move down court in a straight line -- perfect of high post pick and roll but not suited to dump ball to a guy posted on the block. Davis tends to work from side to side which is better suited to boring iso game that Woodson wants to run.

According to a post in the first few pages of this thread, Davis will have to wait about 9 1/2 more years for that opportunity, Boom.

This is what I've always thought about the NBA, and why it's always frustrated me.

I'd rather watch a high school team coached by Jack Curran or Bob Hurley. Even when they had star players like Kenny Anderson, their teams passed the ball, moved without the ball, ran plays, and played defense.

With the skills and athleticism in the NBA, a team that bought into a system like this would be able to compete every day.

It does when it confirms what we saw in last year's playoffs. It does when the regular season might leave the Knicks out of the playoffs - or with an 8 seed and a one-way ticket back to New York in four games.

    Watch the Bulls or Indiana.

I guess it makes about as much sense as anything else. Of course you also turn over the team to a point guard with a bad back and love handles the size of flood sandbags.

That same thing happened last year.

And what does it "confirm" when the Bulls beat the Heat?

It is meaningless except to determine who makes the playoffs. And the NBA has done just fine with an irrelevant New York franchise.

Miami's continued lack of anything resembling a killer instinct in big games.

Is this the same Miami team that took care of those Bulls in the playoffs last year?

How did they fare against the Mavs?
