The key was the way NY guarded Rose at the free throw line.

They did a nice job forcing him wide down the side of the lane instead of letting him into the paint.

Lin says he's probably going to miss the first round which, I fear, means it's likely his season is over. I really want to see this kid play in the playoffs.

Yeah but they weren't going to match the Heat in any case. Five games at most. LeBron doesn't turtle up until a lot later.

If true, how dumb are the Knicks:

I think the last 25 years have proven the answer to that question.

    This makes no sense.

Per 36 minutes, Lin average 19/8/4 with a 44% shooting percentage and is only 23.

Felton, per 36 min, 13/7/3 with a 40% shooting percentage and is 27.

Maybe the Knicks know something, but if Lin is slightly better than Felton, New York will catch hell for it. Plus, is Felton really going to take any team anywhere?

It strikes me as odd just because I kept hearing on ESPN and on the radio how the Knicks were saying they'd match any offer up to $1 billion because they felt he was so great for marketing. If they don't resign Lin, I wonder what those reports were based off of.

Leave it to The Knicks to screw things up. Earlier this week Mike Woodson was saying that Lin would be their starting point guard.

I don't blame Lin at all for leaving. I don't think that The Knicks showed him near as much respect for what he accomplished in the short time that he was in NY. He brought excitement back to The Garden that had not been there for 20 years. The Knicks were a much more interesting team to watch when Amare and Carmello were hurt.

Without Lin The Knicks would not have made the playoffs last year.

They're going to be a disaster of epic proportions. And, now, without Lin, I can go back to taking pleasure in their misery.

He could have been such a great mentor to Lin.

I think that nearly $10 million a year is a lot for him. He wasn't great his last 10 games as the physical defense on him increased.

Granted the excitement level was off the charts for him, but I really am not sold on him as an elite level point guard v

Hah, Kidd is already fostering quite a legacy with The Knicks.

I guess we know what will be on the front page of the NYP tomorrow.

Regarding Lin's last 10 games... Naaah. They weren't even being coached properly at that point, Webster.

This is hilarious. I really hope the blowback is of a quality that only New York can bring.

Can Mike and the Mad Dog reunite for just one day tomorrow? Please, please, please?
