Lindsay Lohan appears to be doing great

Show a little mercy. She's been dying in public for about five years.

She used to have the best hair. It's easy to forget how hot she used to be.

 

Quick, some post the "Parent Trap" photos.

 

Not sure that's blood on her hands in those pics ... looks like lipstick or makeup to me. Either way, she's a mess.

 

She's dying, yes. Look the other way, for once.

 

Should people look the other way ... or scream from the rooftops until a series of enablers is forced to step aside and get her real help?

 

She's beyond help, and I say that as someone who's lost a brother to heroin. It's a matter of time.

 

In fairness, I think pretty much everybody thought Britney was beyond help as well. She must be at least somewhat back on track, because we never seem to read or hear much about her any more unless it has to do with her music.

 

Britney was just insane.

Lohan has an obvious drug problem.

Not necessarily. Is anyone truly aware of a possible underlying cause of Lohan's drug problem? It could be mental health issues similar to that of Britney, could it not? Actually, it seems rather likely to this armchair psychiatrist.

But then it doesn't matter even if there is a big difference between the characteristics of Spears and Lohan and their respective problems. One young, prominent woman almost died but didn't because her issues were, apparently, manageable. Another young, prominent woman may well die even though her issues are, almost certainly, manageable. That's my point.

 

Understood. I'm not arguing that both were dangers to themselves.

But being insane and walking barefoot in gas station bathrooms and shaving one's head does not generally kill someone. Meth/coke/whatever? It does.

 

Very true.

 

I think Britney Spears' family saved her from making a total disaster of her life. I don't think she was toying with death yet, but it may have been in her future had she stayed on course.

Lohan -- her family doesn't give a shit about her. Dina Lohan is a horrible, selfish human being. Same as her father. Poor kid. She will die, and drugs will most likely be the secondary cause.
