    One question does come to mind: With the movie being a Kicktstarter project and all that, did the Times kick in a hefty dose of cash for the privilege of having a reporter on set?

    There's no way the Times would do that without explicitly saying so. My guess is they viewed this as a great chance at publicity. I do want to see The Canyons a hell of a lot more now than I did before.
