What about that story was "important"?

The George C. Scott anecdote was really important. It made my week.

I liked Ishtar. I hated Reign On Me but I loved Funny People.

    And broomball fucking dominates.

I grew up in the country, where "spay" and "neuter" don't reside. I've most definitely heard cats fucking multiple times.

Was talking about Verse, who volunteered for the "joy."

I'm heading to South Africa soon. If I find myself out of money and nowhere to turn and if I bump into Paul Schrader drowning his sorrows on the beaches of Cape Town -- perhaps while he pleasures himself as he imagines the time he was naked in front of Lindsay Lohan -- I'll know that he can help, because I now know he carries thousands of dollars of currency from several countries with him at all time and there's a chance he can spot me some rands.

I am confused. Was Adam Sandler in Ishtar or was it Lindsay Lohan?

I think it was Jenny McCarthy.

This thread is lots of fun.

While I don't consider myself to be a Barrymore fan on any level, she at least seems to be pretty well-liked in Hollywood. She's also proven to be pretty smart and has made some (profitable, if not good...) movies with her own production company.

I don't get the sense Lohan is well-liked or smart. Her best chance for a comeback was that Linda Lovelace movie where she could have convincingly played a drugged-up whore and she probably would have been convincing enough that someone else would have given her a shot based on that... Yet, somehow she got fired from that.

I think it's hilarious that she turned down the Heather Graham part in Hangover. I could see a part like that doing a lot for her. She couldn't dream of getting a part like that today.

I'm confused also I thought it was Simon Pires naked in a Malibu bedroom trying to coax Lindsey Lohan out of her bathrobe.

Also confused why Mary Beth Hurt divorced William but kept his last name. This must confuse her new husband to.

I thought Adam Sandler was outstanding in Funny People. Most of his movies don't do it for me, but he was exceptional there.

    This made me laugh; creative.

I do think it qualifies as "important" because for better or worse, we all know far more about this young woman than we may want to, and hundreds of millions of people in the world know who she is. Therefore, doesn't there have to be some value in someone writing a thoughtful article about her, or any celebrity, dealing with life issues that may be at least tangentially familiar to some readers? It's certainly not "super" important, but I feel like it has some value.
