I don't know -- or really care about -- the intent.

But, if Barack Obama had spoken at a conference, or applied for a job, and submitted this resume, he'd be criticized for it. You can't allow yourself to be sold or promoted based on a false/erroneous bio.

Whoever wrote it is responsible, but so is Barack Obama for not making sure it was correct. It's your bio. You have to make sure it's correct.

You may not, but Ragu does. That's the whole crux of the current debate, intent.

The metric assloads of bandwidth the right wastes on complete honkin' nonsense and/or blatant concern trollery is something to behold. Click on Ragu's link. Do it. Amazing stuff, really.

Ragu has made some common sense assumptions about how the info may have ended up in the pamphlet.

What's wrong with that? It's what we do.

There are only a couple of possibilities. And, it's reasonable to wonder if the info was just "wrong" or intentionally wrong in order to help sell the book.

What did you tell the woman you wrestled in the Olympic trials?

    I didn't say it wasn't reasonable.

I was just responding to your post about it being on Obama to make sure that his bio is correct. I acknowledged that that is established, but added that it doesn't necessarily mean that he was complicit in the mistake in the way that Ragu argues that he was. I'm not saying that it isn't a reasonable position to take. Maybe it is, maybe it is. I'm saying that it doesn't necessarily follow from your accurate statement that he bears responsibility for the mistake.

You would think the Arizona Secretary of State would know how presidential elections work in the state as you don't actually vote for a presidential candidate.

The Iowa GOP is getting into the act with the chairman of the platform committee stating questions have been raised and there is concern.

"Common sense assumptions" are the source of 99% of the world's bullshit.

I agree. It's really not that much different than when I surmise Romney was lying when he said he didn't remember bullying and assaulting the gay kid at his prep school.
