    Speaking of...

I'm still hearing nothing but crickets.

    Oh, and...

Can you offer any proof whatsoever that proves this statement? Besides the tingly feeling in the lower portion of your computer/chair interface unit?

Come on, TV, we're talking about "likely." And it's way more likely that Obama pulled this elaborate ruse, on this book jacket and nowhere else, than it is that someone made a mistake. I mean, people don't just make mistakes.

This thread's inanity continues because the people who voted for Obama don't care where he was born or what he's ever said. That's politics today. If "your guy" is in power, nothing else matters.

So do you think he was born in the U.S.?

He thinks so, but others are asking questions and they are concerned.

Apparently Barack Obama is the source of the other 1 percent.

I don't count Hawaii as part of the U.S. I'm a continental birther.

However, you far outdistance me on your leap of logic. I didn't bypass the more logical choice, which was that the blurb writer made an honest mistake, admitted he made an honest mistake, and wasn't lying about it to cover for Obama.

I work at a major publisher. We either have authors submit an already written bio, have them answer a questionnaire, or grab a bio off of the author's own web site and have him or her approve the bio.

I'm sure in some book cover copy that we are going to try to make an author sound exciting and fresh. I can't even fathom ever thinking to change the author's hometown without his or her approval. That would simply never happen.
