Literary agent's bio says Obama was born in Kenya

If you grant credence to kookery that has been debunked rather than taking on the candidate's policies head on, you might be a concern troll.

To me, a concern troll would say, "I'm not trying to denigrate the guy. I'm just concerned for him that people might think he made up his biography."

Ragu is saying (and keep in mind, Ragu doesn't like me, so this is not me sticking up for some bro of mine), "I'm personally concerned that the guy is making up his biography."

    That's an enormous distinction.

I have a lot of concerns about Mitt Romney.

But that doesn't make me a "concern troll," right? It just makes me ... concerned. For me. For the country. Not for Mitt Romney. Fuck Mitt Romney. (Using the strong language to make a point, not trying to be disrespectful.)

But Ragu doesn't know if Obama made up his biography. He's just concerned about it. Very concerned.

For his own personal peace of mind, though. Not for Obama. That's the difference to me. It's all about where you claim to place your sympathies. I have concerns about Mitt Romney's economic policies because I think that they might hurt the country. I mean, it seems odd to be that you're setting up two choices: (1) You know everything already with no need to investigate further into policy or character concerns; (2) You're a concern troll.

Now, if I said, "I'm not saying I disagree with them, but I'm just concerned that Mitt Romney's economic policies are really hurting his candidacy," then I'd be a concern troll.

    And Ragu did this how?

I am earnestly concerned for the sanity of a person who still thinks Obama was born in Kenya.

These mentally sick must no longer be patiently bargained with. You are wrong, you are mad, you need help. That's all there is to it.

Ragu never said that. He never came close to saying that.

No, Ragu didn't grant credence to the kookery. Ragu merely suggested that, based on his sense that Obama's ambition was so great that he indeed he would lie about his life story if he thought it suited his needs, Obama was likelier than not to have been unwittingly complicit in fueling the kookery by deliberately misleading a biographer about where he was born. Just a theory.

    That's not concern trollery, though.

I'm out. You guys can waste your time deencrypting poorly written language, which eventually reaches a false conclusion. Have fun.
