Little things you can't ignore

This seems to be a problem that has really escalated in the last six months or so, or maybe I'm just reading more stuff on my phone these days.

 

Shaking the freethrow shooters' hand after every attempt.

 

I was helping a guy with a story and he talked about the 72 Dolphins that finished 15-0.
Is it just me or that something a sportswriter isn't allowed to get wrong?

When we moved to Utah, I covered a college where John Stockton's kid was playing. Stockton himself showed. It was awesome.
I go home and tell my wife "John Stockton was at the game." She goes "Who's John Stockton."
"WHO'S JOHN STOCKTON?????????"
I did not speak to her again until she learned "15,806 assists"
We lived in Utah, for crying out loud....

 

Even worse -- those incessant team huddles and hugs in volleyball. Just play the game, you assholes.

 

When they catch a moment of moments. I've posted this on other threads but it's really a perfect little moment. Timing had to be right for it to happen. Seems like there were several extra seconds between free throws, which allowed Amare to give Griffin the wink-wink and smirk.

Hmm, that wink was longer than a Jake Arrieta start of late so this could work in the baseball thread.
