Looking for inside info on Durham, NC

    And if you hit the grass, you get a god damned salad. How lame is that?

    Durham's fine, but that line between the good and bad part of town is stick-figure thin. DBAP or whatever they call the stadium is a damned nice place to watch a game of base ball.

    It's a matter of perspective. If you come from the north or west of town, spend a few hours in Danville or Burlington, then go to Durham from there. It'll seem like gold-plated awesome then.

    And Raleigh's a little far, given the traffic. Cary has lots of soccer moms, so there's that.

    Thanks to everyone with the help, especially those of you who have lived or know those in the area.

    I'm spending a little more time each day trying to learn some more before the move and this has certainly helped.

    Does anyone have any opinions on the best bar (it being best for whatever particular reason) in either Durham or Chapel Hill?

    I have always liked the Cat's Cradle in Carborro.
