There are way too many questions about the Island for it not to get back there or stay there. I mean, we've not even scratched the Jacob surface.

To answer those that didn't understand why Charlie didn't save himself, remember, he went down there specifically knowing that it was to save Claire and Aaron and that by changing anything in Desmond's vision, he would alter it and risk saving them.

Here's a screencap of the newspaper clipping. The man's name begins with J and last name ends with "antham," which as far as I know isn't a name we've heard. But hey, there's three seasons left.

Also, it's been tracked down that the newspaper Jack was reading on the plane was the April 5 L.A. Times (the real one, as in the front page we see is a page from that day's actual LAT). If that's not an oversight (and on this show, what is?), it gives us a time frame -- the plane crashed in, I believe, September 2004.

Also, inside sources tell me next season they will have to play the Harlem Globetrotters to get off the island. ;D

And for a news brief to be written about someone, they must have been part of the survivors, as to warrant a news brief, no? So it has to be Locke or Ben or some other survivor.

If it starts with a J ... could it be Jacob? He'd neither be friend or family. And if they find he was somehow keeping them on the island, no one would want to go. Of course, he's barely even a hologram, so who knows.

I kind of like dirty Kate.

The episode was awesome. Sayid snapping dude's neck rocked.

I think the guy in the coffin will be Ben. I think he and Jack are going to forge some sort of bond, and that will screw Jack up after he gets off the island.

And who is the guy Kate is with? Sawyer I assume, but hey throw Hurley a bone here.

Excellent on your part!! I used a magnifying glass for hours. It's not antham, there is a letter before the a. It looks like a C to me. As much as I could read,
it seems like the person hung themself from a fan on a beam. Someone just as unhappy to be back as Jack is? Locke or Ben perhaps. I never remmber giving anything so much thought with so long to waitfor answers.

I say that it's Jacob or John. I saw a suggestion that maybe John changed his last name to reflect the true last name of the conman who was his father. Then again, I don't recall Sawyer's real name, either.

Not unusual for a "man found dead" brief to be written about anyone, I'd think.
