Well, when Kate did the original stitching, she was using one of those portable kits Jack found in someone's luggage. It had a whole bunch of colors so she asked which one, kind of as a joke. Jack smiled and said standard black is fine.

Anyone else notice that Jacob never told Jack he couldn't go into the light? I'm thinking it was one of those things that's just understood, but that could be interesting.

    I don't.

I think it's too far in the endgame to think like that anymore. I understand we're all ingrained to have this mindset considering the previous 5 4/5 seasons, but there comes a point where we've got to have some concrete things to move the story forward. I feel this is one of those things.

I find it odd that Jack can just "choose" to become the island's protector. Thought it would be something that is chosen for him/her.

Also guess this means Jin was the Kwon that was the candidate ... unless Jacob cares about Ji Yeon the way Jin and Sun did, of course. (And by that I mean not at all).

That's been the point all along - Jacob follows by the rules of free will. I don't think there's been an example where Jacob has fully influenced or pushed someone to do anything in particular. He's always just offered up options. Maybe he can be a bit influential in his wording, but he doesn't directly force anyone to do anything.

In his conversation with Hurley by the lighthouse earlier in the season, Jacob also told Hurley he wouldn't push Jack to do anything because he had to figure it all out himself.

    Theories on Jack's neck bleeding?

Happened on the plane and in the morning before breakfast. Trying to think of a tie-in happenning in parallel Lost land but cant' think of anything off the top of my head.

Maybe it's something we haven't seen yet? The AltWorld folk seem to be flashing back to past experiences, so I guess there's a chance Jack's neck could be something from the finale. Just spitballing, though.

I thought about his neck bleeding when Smokey sliced Zoe. I hope it's not a sign of something to come. That'd be a hell of a way for Jack to go out.

Crazy thought: Could Ji Yeon be the Kwon?

Didn't Jacob say it was Jin?

  11. I was wondering that myself, because if I'm not mistaken, he was conceived on the island, so maybe he's special like Walt was.

And speaking of Walt, are we just punting his story and not worried about him? I'd really like to know what the hell happened to him.

Totally. And that has been speculated online, along with Walt and Aaron being candidates as well. Daniel Dae Kim even discussed some theories of his own an interview, but I didn't look at it because I didn't want any spoilers.

So my Lost viewing in one week: 10 hours.
Tuesday night's episode was an hour. Food Network is airing a Mission Impossible where the chef cooks the cast and crew meal for the finale and it is one hour. At least it isn't Ace of Cakes again[/Lost and food network loser]
    Saturday night, the two-hour pilot.
Sunday night, the two hour recap. The finale at 2 1/2 hours and then Jimmy Kimmel, which is only an hour, but I set the recording for 90 minutes in case it goes long.

Yep, that's 10 hours of TV, all about one show. That's normal, right?
Please someone tell me that's normal.
