We're barely a half-hour into the retrospective and I'm already sniffly. Looking back at season one, everyone looks so young.

ABC's ad reps deserve raises. We're 35 minutes in and I think this is already the fourth commercial break. No wonder they needed to extend this to 2 1/2 hours. It'll be an hour-20 on the Season 6 DVD.

Edit to add: That said, the Target commercial for the smoke detector was pretty damn funny.

I hate to say that's been my favorite part so far, but it has.

In Philly, and the ABC feed is one commercial break ahead of the Canadian feed. Wife is about 5 minutes behind me.

Way too many commercials. Every six or seven minutes of the show, we're getting four to five minutes of commercials.

I really hope something unexpected happens in the final 23 minutes.

OK, I haven't watched a bit of this, except the last half hour. The dog lying down next to Matthew Fox got to me...

    Okay, so in summary:

Everything weird about the Island was because Jacob was a weird home-school kid who gets to make his own rules.

The alt-universe was something all their souls created after they died IRL to help them find each other and their true loves before they moved on to the afterlife.

There, glad that's all done and over with.

You know, I really didn't mind the commercials very much. And the smoke detector ad was awesome.

That said, I need to rehydrate. The scenes when each of them remembered their island lives were just draining. All in all, I thought it was a very satisfying end.

    Well done, writers and cast.

Vincent laying down next to Jack was powerful stuff.

The rest, I'll need to sort out how I feel. Not sure how to think of it.
