I did like seeing Charlotte again. She's simply stunning when all dressed up.

And I have to go fuck myself now because I didn't like the ending.

The creators of Lost would like you to know you should never pull out the plug before you are finished with your bath.

I just thought it was odd that the final scene would show the crash site, Jack dying in almost the exact same spot where he woke up in the show's first scene.
So it was just a big giant circle, or Circle if you prefer.
The end result was a) they gave everyone a happy ending that was emotionally powerful and b) not a soul who I either talked to or read online guessed that the alt-verse was, in fact, purgatory.
And as an aside, c) they just gave everyone a reason to buy the DVDs because then you'll get some answers or ANSWERS!, because if you wanted an explanation as to what it all meant, tonight's episode had very little of that.

Honestly, I can't think of a single question that can't be answered by "Jacob made the rules because he was the Guardian. Jacob was a weird guy. Therefore, the Island had weird rules."

Ben basically tells Hurley he can make his own rules.

My favorite moment might have been Sayid outside the bar. Just before they showed who the girl was, I said out loud to myself "If Maggie Grace shows up, I'm going to lose my shit." And there she was.

I'm hoping that we get a Fantasy Island style Hurley/Ben spinoff out of this.

That was nice how Sayid spent all that time pining away for his long-lost love whom his brother married in Sidewaysville, then ended up stuck with Shannon.

And I'm totally going to Target tomorrow to buy something. Because their ads were freaking awesome.

True. If I asked around I could probably get about a dozen or so.

OK, I've had some time to think about this. (And by time I mean about an hour).

So, everyone that ever came to the island was chosen by its protector because they NEEDED to come to that island. They were flawed.

The island is a place where people can find that thing that is missing inside of them. For some (Like Richard), it was time. For others (Like Ben), it was a feeling of belonging.

Every one of the 815ers was missing something. The island, and their experiences on it, gave them what they were looking for.

Everything that happened on the island happened because it HAD to happen. All of the mysteries, all the unanswered questions were just a means to get these people to their ends, to the thing they needed. For example, without time travel, Sawyer would have never found his soul mate, Juliet. Without the numbers driving Hurley crazy, he would have never found the confidence in himself (in the Dharma van scene) to become the man he needed to be.

The reason people can't give birth on the island, when they conceive on the island, is because they're bringing a life onto that island that isn't supposed to be there. That island is a special place where people go who are already flawed, already missing something, not when they're first born.

Claire, with Aaron, and the Kwons were granted an exception because the child was what they were missing, it was their flaw.

So, the 815'ers live their lives as they are meant to. Some live, some die. But, because of their experiences, they meet the people they are to be forever connected with.

When they die, whether it's on island or off, they're taken to purgatory. They just don't know it yet.

Eventually, they're all woken up when they're ready and when the situation is right.

They all get together with the people they connected with, with the people they were meant to be with and move on to the next life.

That, in a nutshell, is what I think this show was all about.

I haven't posted much on this thread, but am a very, very big fan of the show. All I have to say is, I am content with what happened. I'm glad there was no last minute-crazy-twist with MiB taking over another body or having Jack turn into the smoke monster.
