Lots of great lines in that episode. I really like how Jacob is fleshing out as a character. He's a simple guy with the wisdom of all those years to think. Still very much sees things in the black-and-white of a child, because that's basically when he stopped developing emotionally.

Rousseau saying "even if we have to kidnap you" had me rolling.

Yeah, that was a quality line. And I'll be shocked if Ben ends up being uber-evil like he was this episode. I can understand killing Widmore, but methinks all the gains he made this season weren't for nothing.

Wow. What a great episode. For now, I won't bitch about my pointless gripes because this episode set things up perfectly for the final show Sunday and while I can't wait, I'm also dreading the end because what the hell else am I going to watch? V?

    No, Ben is pure evil.

In the Sideways World I am thinking that something terrible is going to happen to him.

Couldn't agree more. This is the first show since West Wing that I'm going to miss, this one even more so.

What a wonderful ride it has been.

Loved it when Ben asked Smocke why he walked through the jungle even though he can travel as smoke.

Can Smoke drown? If so, could the sunken island show the successful death of Smokey?

I have a feeling Ben might kill Jack and then another will take Jack's place.

OK, maybe my one WTF (logic) moment.

Smokey/Locke gets Ben to work with him by promising him the island once he's gone.
Smokey/Locke later says he wants to get his hands on Desmond so he can destroy the island.

Did I miss something? What's Ben's motive to help S/L if that's his ultimate motive?

I'm guessing he figured Ben's already stuck with him, so no point in hiding his motivations.

Don't forget, Ben is quite the manipulator. The master manipulator. Maybe he's got something up his sleeve.

schiezainc - Try Fringe. It will be my favorite show when LOST is gone. You're only two seasons behind. Well, two seasons after the finale on Thursday.

Can we all say we've been waiting six years for that fireside chat?

    Awesome.

Note that while Ben had perfectly reasonable motivations for killing Widmore, he also may have been trying to keep valuable information out of Locke's hands.
