Interesting theory, but there seems to be a decided difference in outlook between some of the older characters who have benefitted from the island's mysterious ways -- Locke, Rose -- and younger, more obviously materialistic ones like Shannon, Boone and last night's couple. And it's the younger ones who wind up dead. Perhaps those who are wiser in the ways of the world get rewarded on the island?

Well, I saw the thing in the most recent episode coming long before it happened. I saw that years ago on some show that was a lot like Twilight Zone. Dude tells the gravedigger he's going to get into a coffin and to dig him up after the service. He strikes a match and finds out that he's been buried with the guy who is supposed to do the digging. It was followed by an episode of a show featuring Mr. Boogity. On the show, they say, Boogity, boogity, boogity." Don't know whether Darrell Waltrip saw the same show.

As for Lost, I'm still watching and still annoyed. This episode had its big moment of irony, but the only thing it did for the plot was to give them a radio for communication. They can now monitor anything they hear.

    *sigh*

There's just no pleasing some people, I guess.

    Agreed.

Although I find it concerning that Locke won't be around for the near future.

I accidentally deleted tonight's episode off the Tivo after I watched it. I meant to go back and rewatch the scene where they threw the gas cannister into Kate's room and she looks out the window and sees them putting on the packs and running. I could have sworn Juliet was one of the people putting on one of the packs. Somebody help me out here.

If she was, do you think that means she's putting them on right now? I guess she could have been gassed afterwards, but I don't think that would be the case. I think she's supposed to be infiltrating their camp.

I thought Juliet was out there too. I haven't had a chance to watch it again, but I'm on baord with your theory. There is NO WAY I trust her. I think Jack is going to stop Sayid from killing her at some point in the near future.

If you're the passengers, do you load up and head to the Others' houses? It appeared the electricity was still working there, so I'm guessing the water is still on as well. Wouldn't living there be better than being in makeshift tents on the beach?

Yes. Plus you've got an electric fence to keep the Black Smoke of Death away.

I didn't understand that last night.

The search party cut down a tree and shimmied over the fence. Yet the BSoD just runs right into it instead of going over it?
