Lost

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Jim Tom Pinch, Oct 2, 2006.

  1. We're only 90 days or so (island time) since the crash. Not sure when the EM beacon fired off. I'd guess 5 days ago? That'd be a quick turnaround.

to me it was clear that she turned the fence off so kate and her could get through then immediately turned it back on.

as for bringing back walt, they can get another 12-year-old african american kid. it's been done on other shows - remember when desperate housewives replaced that kid chained in the basement? the nerds on the chat rooms will howl but i've heard some of the questions those people ask (when the producers read them aloud on the podcasts) and those people take this stuff way too literally.

Well well well . . . apparently, that was indeed Juliet seen among the Others just before Kate was gassed . . . . . . . .

Another excellent episode tonight. With a not altogether shocking ending.

Good explanations as to just why the Others would up and leave, and leave Jack and Sayid alive and well in their camp. Why will the beach survivors not take it over?

And how could they not suspect chicanery?

I think they were too quick to reveal that Juliet was supposed to be infiltrating the other camp. It seems like a typical Lost end-around. My bet is that she'll eventually double-cross the Others now.

Interesting that Juliet woke up on the sub and not as it was traveling. Remember when Ben told Locke something to the effect that the sub was important because it allowed his people to believe that they could get off of the island.

The sub Juliet was on looked a lot smaller than the one Locke blew up.

I never did trust that Juliet.

Why does the revelations about their lives before the crash still affect the survivors? If I'm Sayid and Sawyer, I'd still demand some answers from her. And did we see Sawyer shoot somebody the night before the flight yet? Also, in the upcoming scenes, was that a book cover with SOS on it? Are they finally going to tie in Gary Troup to this season?

good episode. but the whole thing about the others "infiltrating" the losties camp is strange. the others are all powerful. if they wanted to take if over, they'd walk in and take it over. what would they want with just taking over the beach? they already control the survivors through mind games and everything else. so they must want something bigger than simply controlling their beach.

The cover was Ardil-22, which is the Portugese title for Catch-22.
My guess is that Juliet gets turned when she finds out Jin is pregnant.
And I wonder what Ben did to Juliet. If the carrot was leaving the island, how could she leave if the sub was actually blown up? I don't think the sub was blown up or they have another. Or they have another way of getting off the island, like a plane.

Good point. I think we'll discover that nobody knows how to get off the island and that all of the scientific experiments are geared toward just that.

Well that would be a neat trick.

If nobody knows how to get off the island, how did they go and get Juliet?
