Inky -- we did. It was the American who had the shrimp stand in Australia who was not the "real" Sawyer. Not clear whether that was the night before. We know that Sawyer was arrested for a bar fight with some government official and was told by the policeman that he was being deported immediately. Could be that he killed someone else while he was there, but not likely. Importantly, unless they brainwashed him, how did Juliet know about the shooting?

Also, was anyone else implanted with a chip like Claire by the Others? Locke, Kate, Sawyer, Jack and even Hurley could be.

Nice threat by Hurley --playing the sweet guy while telling Juliet that the Losties were capable of killing. Wonder if she (or anyone else) will kill Charlie as revenge. Also, she must know that Goodwin is dead -- even though Ana-Lucia is dead, wonder if she seeks her pound of flesh?

well, they know everything about everyone. it's never been explained how they know all the details - other than last night when ben said to mikhail that he wants detailed files on all passengers.

i was disappointed in sayid and sawyer that they pussied out.

Oh sure, now you want me to spoon feed it to you? Hey, I come with the theories, it's not my job to test them. Get out your Sherlock Holmes cap and go to work, Sly.

Okay, enough with the zany stuff. Let's get serious here.

The mystery, it seems, revolves around who is on the island and why.

But just how many groups do we have?

    1. The Losties. We know how they got there, but we don't know much about why or even where they are.

    2. The Others. At least with a few of them, they were brought to the island. I believe it's been mentioned that Ethan or Ben or someone has never been off the island. So that establishes a long-time presence.

    3. The French lady. To me, she is the most mysterious. She seems to insist that she has nothing to do with the others and that her arrival is completely unrelated. If we are to believe that, then she represents a third group of individuals to come to the island.

And, it just popped into my mind that she gave birth on the island and is still alive. That blows apart what Juliet said about conceiving on the island. But how can believe anything anyone says at this point?

Has it been established that the Others were part of Dharma Initiative?

Now, for the most important question: Who's hotter, Kate or Juliet? :)

No, I think it's been fairly well-established that they are not only not part of it, but are mortal enemies of it. Mikhail talked about "the purge," and there have been other references to a kind of battle royale between the Others and the Dharma people.

Oh, and for anyone who thinks they make this stuff up as they go along - the seeds for last night's episode were planted way back in Season 1, from the second Claire landed and was pregnant, through her kidnapping, Ethan's death, etc., etc. They may not have had every character fleshed out, but the creators certainly are well aware of the basic functions of groups of people and purposes of characters in the overall whole.

Both are hot, but IMO clearly Kate. Although Elizabeth Mitchell did have some quality scenes with Angelina Jolie in Gia.
