It is all building to the season finale.
And the underwater hatch, the much-rumored underwater hatch that was going to play such a pivotal role in the show, turns not to be only real, it appears that it will play an important role on the show.
Everything on this show is a clue. Everything that makes us scratch our head and go huh, is important, like seeing the girl fetch dynamite when Locke and Sawyer were there.
Then you see how important the dynamite will be.
I also enjoyed the Oasis shoutout, but it seems like that they had a similar scene before and Desmond has been in it, but this time, I didn't see him.

  2. Is Locke in on the battle royale then? Remember he seemed to be really nonchalant when Danielle came into the black rock and just grabbed some TNT?

Wow. The suspense is back. I remember now how I grew so attached to this show. The ending brought back memories of the early seasons, when episodes ended with absolutely shocking scenarios.

The season finale is going to be great. I actually felt for Charlie after watching last night's episode. I did not like his character before last night's episode, but now I have a change of heart. I think Juliette is still working for the Others ( I don't trust that woman!!!) ;D

When Desmond first told Charlie how he'd die, I wondered if he wasn't seeing the complete vision. I thought Charlie would discover the hatch's airlock was still working, he'd flip the switch and cause the station to flood.

Why don't they just cut the cable leading out of the ocean that runs to the radio tower?

Nice to see they finally throw a bone to the fans who've been saying "Where's Rose and her husband?"

Rumor has it three characters (and by that I don't mean anonymous Losties or Others) die in the finale. Locke is an obvious choice, so I think that rules him out (even though he's reportedly put his house in Hawai'i up for sale). I hope Desmond and Sayid aren't in the three. They originally planned on killing off Jack in the first season. Would they do it now?

  6. It'll be Jack and Charlie. Maybe Juliet, too.

I think that Hurley, Sayid and Ben are pretty much indispensable. Locke is close to it and so is Sawyer.

I think Jin is a good candidate for death. I'm guessing that Rose's husband is another. After all, they probably wanted the easiest way to rid themselves of those characters. I imagine that the third will be one of the Others.

  8. That would make sense. They seemed to really emphasize "moments" between those couples last night.

By the way, not to sound like a sap, but Charlie and Claire's kiss was about 100 times more romantic than all the Kate-Sawyer booty calls combined.

Has anybody tried to identify any of the people who swarm around Charlie? That woman looked vaguely familiar.

Funny. I was talking to a another SportsJournalists.commer and told him the people didn't look familiar at all.

    and...
Thanks, Inky. That was my complaint about last night's ep. Seemed to make sense to me.

I hit a few Lost sites. I have seen a few different theories. One is that the blonde at the end of the episode could be the mysterious little girl Annie, the one who gave Ben the little doll. Another is that the brunette is Sawyer's ex. A third is that the two women are with the lady who landed on the island a few days ago. Apparently, someone saw a jump suit when Charlie came up for air.

Also, a lot of people have pointed out that the supposed helicopter crash took place in about the same place as where the station is located. Perhaps it was the station rather than a helicopter that made the splash?

The woman Charlie rescued in the rain in England ... was that Sayid's girlfriend?
