I think we may come to find out the entire show was simply Stan Rizzo dreaming in 1975 as he slept on an art table in a small dark room where he drew ketchup bottles while being baked out of his mind.

    I'm OK with that.

Perhaps that's also part of the evolution of driven people. As time marches on, you have less patience for idiots taking up your time. Your work may remain at a high level (like Draper's) but you simply get too tired or bored with "doing the dance" for every damn client and it comes across that way in the pitch.

I think Joan had something to do with winning Jaguar.

I'm going on memory here, so I could be off, but didn't the pitch win over the corporate execs? It was the head of the dealers' association who basically threatened to tank the deal if he didn't get a night with Joan, right?

Yes. Joan got Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce a fair shot at the deal, but she had no influence over the executives making the final decision.

Well, if you need somebody to play a total fuckin' weirdo, casting one of Tom Cruise's blood relatives works.

The line about the 2nd Avenue subway made me laugh. (It's still not finished, for those who don't know).

Also, Ginsberg's so weird he couldn't even get laid in 1968.
