I guess in the 60's gentlemen did not take their pants off.

Just watched. Maybe HC saw a different edit where she is. Don's last name wasn't on the note he signed on the card with the bonus. Just his first name. The rest was what she posted. "Thanks for all your hard work. Don."

And now he's got to wash those pants.

Caught up now, took a couple of weeks to plow through all the episodes. I love watching shows that way.

    Found this article interesting. http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/08/07/countdown-to-mad-men-what-don-draper-could-learn-from-history-and-hannah-montana/

Least likely guy to get all the good lines in an episode?

    Lane Pryce.

    "I want my beef!"

And Lane and Don at Godzilla was fantastic, along with him standing up to Joan.

"I understand that all men are dizzy and powerless to say 'no' to you, but consider me the incorruptible exception!"

Never would have thought Lane was such a party animal ... even the stodgiest have to let loose at some point. Great episode.

Probably a stupid question, but I'm only 26 years old so I can't fathom it being the case....

Was it common practice at that point to not tell patients of terminal stage dieseases?

    That's horrifying.

    Yeah, that was just bizarre.

Poor Don. Guy can't even hold on to his self-made family.

And speaking of Joan, didn't she seem overly familiar with her doctor? Unless he's an old high school chum or ex-boyfriend, it seemed strange for her to call him by his first name (and him to call her "Jo-Jo").

Disappointed there was no Roger or Pete in the episode (other than the last shot), but thank God there was no Betty, either.
