"Well, I guess I should learn some people's names before I fire them."

And Don found away to de-leverage Pete, even if it came in a dire situation.

So the season has come full circle. Maybe the final episode will mean the death of the agency and the rebirth of a new one without Bert "Get Me My Shoes" Cooper.

The scene in Midge's apartment made me sad.

Did anyone else (unfortunately) think of "Jerry Maguire" when Don did his newspaper ad stunt? If he shows up at Peggy's apartment and says "you complete me" next week, I'm quitting this show.

I also thought it was rich that the whole time Don is writing his anti-smoking ad copy, getting yelled at by his fellow partners about it, and taking phone calls about it, he's puffing on a cigarette. Also, obvious parallels between cigarettes and heroin after his visit with Midge.

And I've railed against Betty many times on this thread, but would she really stoop to moving just to spite her daughter? God, I loathe her.

A great episode. And while I love trying to decipher what is coming next with the previews to the next episode - they didn't even show one off-hand comment this week, all previously aired-stuff.
I'm figuring SCDP lands a whale (some eccentric billionaire like Howard Hughes).

    Now somebody get my shoes.

January 2nd 1971 is the last televised cigarette commercial. I think Don is going to get he last laugh in all of this.

I think the budget for the government anti-smoking campaign will be endless.
