Too easy for it to be Don.

My dark horse, and just because they made it a point to treat him like crap this last episode by shouting him out of the room, and he does have kids.

Good point, and being a TV guy, he's wired in with Hollywood-types.

Great and interesting speculation by all. And it all fits.

I think the speculation seems dead-on. If true, seems like it would be a little too on-the-nose for Weiner to name the episode something so easy to figure out, particularly with what a spoiler-phobe he is.

Like the others, this season has been tremendous. I think it's rare for a TV show to maintain this level of quality four seasons in. "The Wire" did. That's about the only one I can think of.

The West Wing was pretty damn outstanding through the first four seasons. Went off the rails immediately after, however, mainly because Aaron Sorkin left.

Fun Fact: Walt Disney died of lung cancer, though it wasn't discovered until 1966 months before his death.

One of the things I like about Mad Men is that stuff that happens on the show matters and has consequences in relation to the characters. I think it is why people pay attention to what the actors say, how they react and how a set is dressed or a shot is framed.
Hell, I'm still obsessing that Don is still wearing a hat in the mid-60s.

The first time I remember him looking completely out of place was at Midge's bohemian party in the first season. It's happening more and more often as the '60s move along.

Interesting that when Don got ready to type out that letter, he threw all the other pages he had written in that notebook away. It's almost as if he cleansed himself by writing it and then was literally turning a new page. I, too, was saddened by Midge but it was a good opportunity to address that drug scene. Would be crazy if they ended up with the Disney account.

I noticed that when Don first encountered Midge in the lobby. None of other men were wearing hats.

That, and when Peggy was called into Don's office thinking she was fired, Don told her to close the door, and Peggy asked if she should sit. A nod to "Close the Door, Have a Seat" episode.

He actually quit wearing the hat for a while earlier this season, and just brought it back recently. I think it's pretty obvious Don's a bit of a dinosaur, and getting more so as the 60s progress. Wearing the hat is more evidence of that.

The Sopranos did . . . though I'll be the first to acknowledge that I like The Wire and Mad Man more than I do The Sopranos. And I think Deadwood
would have, had it had the chance.

    Or even a piece.

I know that business (and the history) pretty well -- but I draw a complete
blank in terms of which agency(s) Disney uses to develop its television
    (especially) advertising. Anybody know?
