    A few thoughts...

Betty "just happens" to see Don at the house? Shit. She was trying to get him back.

Loved the 12-year-old summing up Betty to her face.

Betty is death. Everything she touches just turns to shit.

The spilt milksake was the moment for Don. When he saw that something like that did not have to be painful, that was when the girl won him over.

I disagree. The head shrinker was the exact wrong person for Don. She had zero idea how to handle those kids, and I think she had zero idea how to help Don. The secretary has the natural ability to be good with people. And I think Don knows his kids will be in very good hands with her.

The Peggy and Joan scene was very good, and Don showing how much he respects Peggy should mean a lot to her. Don respecting a woman that he is not stooping hopefully will mean something to her down the road.

He's sitting on the front porch with her? Sorry ... couldn't help myself. I think you meant schtupping. ;)

Too early in the morning for me to type an f-bomb. :)

Is that really the way to spell it?

    Yup. It's a Yiddish term. :D

Don had some fun moments showing himself being a good dad with the kids. With Betty, he just hated his life and drank himself to death.

It was hilarious when he passed out on the bed, and then when he went swimming and threw Bobby about 10 feet across the pool.

Yes, notice she's checking her makeup as we hear Don come in the door.

And don't forget her not only firing Carla --- who been with them since Sally was born --- but also refusing to write her a letter of recommendation.

Maybe it will be Henry who takes the header off the building, just to get away from Betty. ;)

Don acted a lot like Dick Whitman this episode -- his hair, his facial expressions, etc.

I loved Peggy's reaction to the news -- she was just so let down by Don's obviousness.

A strange end to the season. I thought the line of the episode was Henry's "there is no fresh start. Lives carry on"

    Couple minor things:

She's hardly the only one, but my daughter called Joan and the baby from the second it happened/didn't happen.

I was POSITIVE the building was going to explode while Joan was ON the phone. There's your cliffhanger...

But I'm also positive Matt Weiner purposely sets us up for what we expect and then goes another way. Again, not breaking any ground here...

I thought Betty was angling to get Don back, too. They're setting that up with Henry getting sick of her, and yes, Glenn had one of the lines of the show.

Thirty nine weeks? Until the next one? Not good.

I can't decide whether I want to give The Walking Dead a shot or not. Hooked on "Breaking Bad" and Mad Men" is bad (good) enough.

Authentic zombie gibberish, with epic-length AMC commercial breaks? Double yuk, with nuts.

You and a couple of others were swifter than I was, on that.

Of course, Hubby is oblivious that it's Roger's baby in the oven . . . but of course, we know
he's oblivious. He won't be around all that much longer, in any event.
