Don's father-in-law telling him "Don, there is nothing you can do. No matter what, someday your little girl will spread her legs and fly away."

Roger: "Who knows why people in history did good things. For all we know Jesus was trying to get the loaves and fishes account."

Sally to Roger, right before he gets his blow job "Go get 'em, tiger?"

I laughed out loud at that.

I somehow missed her saying that. Definitely need to see this episode again ...

This was my favorite episode of the season.

The dynamics of Peggy and Joan, Peggy and her mother, Roger and his ex-wife along with Roger and Sally made for four fantastic conversations within the episode.

"They make fancy plates and glassware. And napalm."

I did a bit in high school where I emptied and washed a glass Hellman's Mayonaise jar and filled it with Cool Whip and pretended to inhale giant spoonfuls of mayo just to gross people out.

Again, I live an exciting life.

Roger took acid and now thinks he invented the world.

    He's officially a baby boomer.

Obviously it wasn't sherbet or, at least, odds greatly stacked against it being sherbet. The bright lights and all, plus melting time between takes...

My point was, Dyno, that the scene didn't even play legit because no one could shovel in sherbet at the pace Megan did. Was over the top that way -- would have been better if she had done so and then reacted to the brain freeze or shoveled once or twice and then dumped the rest at Don.

I loved that episode. I'll love it even more if it pays off down the road.

SCDP has been sort of counting on that cigarette letter/ACS connection for awhile now. The look on Don's face when he found out he'd actually permanently ceilinged his career was amazing.

Did not realize until I read Sepinwall's recap that the actress who plays Roger's first ex-wife (Talia Balsam) is John Slattery's real-life wife. She was also married to George Clooney at one time, so I guess she knows how to pick 'em.

I thought this episode was great. So many hilarious lines and none better than the deadpan delivery of Sally when the boy on the phone asks her how Manhattan is and she says, "Dirty." One thing we're really seeing now is the success of women's rights in society with Megan saving the Heinz account and Peggy deciding it would be just fine, no matter what her mother thinks, to live with Abe.

There are no happy endings on Mad Men. Well, except for Roger.
