Mad Men Season 5 running thread

I assumed KJIM was joking. Nobody would click on the "Mad Men season 5 running thread" and expect people to spoiler talk about the current episode.

 

And a giant fuck you goes out to Dish Network, which has suddenly dumped AMC from its channel lineup, meaning last night's episode is the last I'll be able to see.

 

I heard they just moved it way up the dial. You may want to check.

 

I was just about to post ... yeah, they moved it to channel 9610, which means I had to reset my DVR timer to get it this week.

 

AMC has been running some commercials warning Dish viewers that they'll lose out on watching their favorite shows and to call Dish and complain about them dumping the channel.

 

On further reading ... the channel will be dumped by the end of June, which stinks for watching Breaking Bad. Hopefully they get something figured out. Apparently Dish was unhappy about those ads that ran last night.

 

Awwwww . . . Dish was unhappy? Such a shame.

Public pressure . . . jam the switchboard . . .

The public needs some outlet in the face of sustained gouging.

Thanks for that link. It was cool to read their thoughts. Most of them were positive reactions. If they were legitimately pissed about the portrayal of one of their execs as dirty, they didn't show it much.

 

Their sense of relief that the Jaguar wouldn't start for Lane's suicide was pretty funny.
