    What is a Regina?

This episode seemed a lot like the first episode of next season and last week seemed a lot more like a finale.

Also remain incredulous about the plot point re the firm being more profitable and prosperous than ever before. Jaguar's a drop in the bucket compared to American Tobacco .l. . and Topaz pantyhose ain't fillin' that gap.

I liked the visual of the five of them looking out the window of the new office, and Pete getting thrown off the train, and the ending with Don turning to the woman was great.

The rest of it was just OK, compared to the last couple of weeks. Hopefully, they won't take another two years for another season.

I actually really liked this episode. Maybe I needed a little respite after the last two but it left me with lots to think about. Plus I was so happy to see Peggy and am hoping she will be back.

Didn't see a link to this in any earlier posts:

I loved that shot of them spread out in front of the window.

Always nice to see my city represented on one of my favorite shows! Peggy: "They're sending me to Virginia to tour the factory." Don: "Richmond is nice."

Then once she actually gets there, she looks out the window and sees...two dogs fucking in a parking lot. Puttin' it down real proper-like for the 804!

I think Peggy is done with any sort of a role on the show. The idea that she has come a long way, baby was shoved in our face and I think that she will simply be another generic competitor to the firm

This sets the rest of the season up nicely ...

    Shit.

I thought the window shot was annoyingly contrived. It was like they intentionally put it in there so they'd have something for next season's posters.

    Well, yeah.

But at the same time, it shows how the firm is going to, as Don put it rallying the troops for the Jaguar account, be reaching new heights. For a firm that essentially started out in a hotel room, they're now in a new era.

I find it difficult to believe that the in-office suicide of one of the firm's partners — one who was well-known enough to have been approached to be on the board of a major professional society — seemed to cause not a single negative ripple.

Well, it's not like he was running for Mayor of Seattle ... Sorry, that's the 9PM slot ... :D

I am late to Mad Men and have only watched about a 1/4 of season 4 and all of season 5.

Was Megan's mother on any of earlier seasons? How did Roger know her?
