You're right on both counts. I had it confused.

Ken knows just what Pete is, and can live with it. "Like" may be a tad strong.

There are certain characters on TV shows that the audience simply hates. Not because he or she is poorly written, but because that character is just a fucking pain in the ass. Betty Draper, Skylar White, Hiro Nakamura, etc. But not Pete Campbell. He's a sniveling and whiny little shithead, but there's something about him that is enjoyable.

I don't know if Ken "likes" Pete, but I think he is the kind of guy that gets along with just about everyone.

I don't think Don told Megan about Peggy. It's one thing to share your own secrets with someone, but Don of all people would respect Peggy's privacy and understand her desire to keep this secret. He's her Anna Draper is many ways.

    Don is the brains.
    Pete is the hard worker.
Roger is the man with the connections and the experience.

In sales, don't underestimate the guy who can be the clients buddy and drinking partner. That's Roger.

No one can pitch like Don, and no one ever will.

I'm sorry, but I giggled at Lane's reaction to the baby farting on him.

    "Aaaaah!"

I'll bet a months salary that was a complete ad lib.

My guess is that there's no Betty yet for two reasons:
    -maternity
-she really can't act her way out of a paper bag. I think the people behind the show, like Don Draper himself, saw a beautiful woman, but then after committing to her, saw she wasn't that good, so they pushed her away/reduced her part in the show.

I loved when Pete's secretary was moving stuff into his new office and she came in toting a box with the rifle he bought two seasons ago (one episode ended with him sitting in his office, in the dark, drinking, holding a rifle).

Pete's the ambitious climber who finally got where he wanted to be - and realizes it isn't everything its cracked up to be.

I'm sure it was. I doubt they could have gotten the baby to toot on command.

With Betty Draper temporarily out of the picture, it sort of leaves this big hanging, well, thing, over the audience. What is she up to? How's the new, big house with Henry Francis? She's a bitter bitch - how will she react to Don's new marital status? The last we saw of her was when Don told her he met someone and was engaged. She seemed partially hurt, partially upset, partially...jealous (?). I wonder if somewhere along the line she'll express that she misses Don; after all, she told Henry something about this new life wasn't all it cracked up to be.

There's a lot there Weiner can play with (Ha!), and I think leaving Betty out of the picture for a few episodes really builds up to something good.
