Yes, I said it was misleading and then I said why and now you are whining about it for the sake of creating another argument.

First of all: I didn't say any method is "okay." I said that Kidd will be punished, and rightfully so.

Second of all: So all cheating is equal? That's what you're saying? I can't support that and I'm surprised someone would. What about the guys who pretend they're hurt at the end of an NFL game? Is that the same as PED use over many years? What about a guy who used once - for the sake of argument, let's take Andy Pettite at his word. Versus someone who used over many years - let's take "Game of Shadows" at its word.

    Same? Same crime, same punishment?

    Don't say it's misleading. Show, don't tell.

Or just say, "That's misleading." Don't say, "Already going for the misleading arguments again."

You are not helping your arguments. You are hurting them.

This is meant is a bit of friendly advice: You would improve your arguments by an even greater degree if you didn't rely so heavily on misleading arguments and terrible comparisons that don't hold up under even the most cursory of examinations. You don't help your case at all and you simply add to the disappointing level of discourse around here each time you try to pull that garbage.

Of course, I don't think you offered friendly advice at all. You just chose a new tactic to attack the poster who you disagree with. It's the same old shit no matter how pretty a package you wrap around it.

This is why I keep pointing out that you are using misleading arguments again. It goes to credibility. The more you pull the same foolishness, the more you should be held accountable for it.

You've been caught in your hypocrisy. You just don't like it.

Maybe the poll should have told people they could only vote for one player, just to see how long the rants would have been about the first person who dared to pick somebody other than Maddux.

Why does the poll say choose 22 players? Wouldn't a limit of 10 make more sense?

And here's a fun voter -- the first-ballot no vote for some, but not others.

    Adam Rubin's ballot: http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/79821/first-look-my-hall-of-fame-ballot

Mike Piazza, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, Frank Thomas, Jeff Bagwell, Craig Biggio, Curt Schilling and Jack Morris.

He voted for 10, and it's a really good ballot considering the choices. But he says that Piazza, Bonds and Clemens are on his ballot for the first time. But last year he voted Biggio and Schilling and didn't have a full ballot. So he apparently did the PED punishment thing.
