Murray Chass is tripling his vote, adding Maddux and Glavine to his holdover in Morris. He might vote for Thomas. Everyone else is connected to PEDs in some way in his eyes.

Maybe he didn't think about it.

Apart from wins what did Glavine do considerably better than Mussina? He also pitched in an inferior league.

900 mor innings, right? That matters. And I love Mussina as a candidate.

The innings pitched do matter. Also, as I already explained, Glavine's prime was better. I'm still waiting for Versatile or anybody else to tell me how often they actually think Mussina was even one of the top five pitchers in his league or in all of MLB for a given season.

from 1992-1999 he finished in the top 5 of Cy Young voting 5 times doesn't that make him a top 5 pitcher in his league?

I asked the question. Nobody wanted to answer. How many times was he considered among the top five pitchers in MLB?

He still wasn't as good as Glavine during that run.

I'm not saying Mussina doesn't belong. I'm saying Glavine was better and the numbers, including the two Cy Young Awards, back me up on that.

You said "in his league," not "in MLB."

Maybe it's because I watched a lot of AL East, but I thought Mussina was a top 5 pitcher for many years. He seemed to lose a lot of 3-2 ballgames on a Baltimore team that could not score.

Absolutely could not stand the guy, he was an epic asshole...but an excellent pitcher.

And a lot of 1-0 or 2-1 games to Pedro. There seemed to be a stretch where they were matching up against each other every time they played. Silly as it is, turn a couple of those 19 win seasons into 20, and he probably does better in HOF, and Cy Young voting.

Actually, I asked about both, but don't let the facts get in the way of your trolling.
