Who in the world is splitting their Bonds-Clemens votes and under what justification?

Well there is at least one split that was a coin flip for the last spot on a full ballot

Biggio is a borderline HOF who will get in next year. No tragedy there.

    The problem is the logjam.

There were 17 holdovers going into this election. There were two who dropped in Morris and Palmeiro.

There are 17 holdovers going into 2015. Mussina replaces Morris. Kent replaces Palmeiro.

And you add four newcomers that will get support/elected -- Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz, Gary Sheffield -- to say nothing potentially of Carlos Delgado and Nomar Garciaparra.

So if you voted for 10 guys this year and Maddux, Glavine and Thomas were your three -- then two spots are already claimed by Johnson and Pedro.
