It felt like two completely different episodes. The Coruscant storyline felt shoehorned in despite the small connection that the doctor previously appeared on The Mandalorian.

Definitely two distinct storylines that appear to be leading back to the remains of the Empire going after the kid.

Somebody wanted the doctor dead or out of the way, or at the very least revenge for being a traitor.

I think they are trying to use the machine to manipulate him back into the service of the Empire.

That was definitely left open ended.

Carl Weathers tweeted a few days ago that he directed the upcoming episode and it’s called “The Foundling.”

Title makes me think Grogu backstory. How he survived the purge?

That would make sense. It could also be more about Din Djarin's history, as he was a foundling.

Grogu wouldn't have been in the purge, right? He's not Mandalorian, he's a Jedi. Or am I missing something?

It could be the Grogu officially becomes a Foundling with a Din Djarin backstory. Didn't Grugu start to say "this is the way" right before they got attacked by the TIE fighters?

He is a foundling because he was taken in by a Mandalorian. The Armorer referred to Din and Grogu as a clan of two.

He was in the Jedi Temple at the time of Order 66. It has been referenced in the series. Someone got him out, but we don't know who it was yet.

God, I wish they'd find a way to introduce Cal Kestis.
