I did not recognize the actor playing that new character in the new episode until I looked him up, but maybe some of you will.

I accidentally saw who was playing that role on social media before I saw the episode. Nice thing, considering the treatment he got from some hard core “fans.”

I thought of this while I was talking to a couple of friends of mine about the show. One had watched Boba Fett. The other, who is a bigger Star Wars nerd than I, bailed after one episode and had no idea what happened in the rest of that series. She watched the first episode of this season of The Mandalorian and was thoroughly confused, so it did happen to some people. We set her straight and told her which episodes of Boba Fett to watch before moving on to this season of The Mandalorian.

As for the new episode, it's pretty much been a slow build like last season. Lots of good nuggets, including the grogu rescue. And as noted, loved the role they gave to Ahmed Best.

It was the Saturday afternoon serial formula, which I find enjoyable.

Yeah I mean if it was a thing for Sepinwall I’m guessing it was a thing for a whole lot of people

Imagine for those late to the party, you’re binging Mando and 3.1 stArts up right after 2.8 ends. Confusion ensues.

That was a particularly interesting episode on a lot of fronts, but I’ll start with this one:

Did the Armorer just endorse Bo-Katan as the next Manda’lore?

    And my second question:

    More Mandalorians? Or impostors?

    Oh, one more thing:

Yes, that was Zeb from Rebels.

They did a nice job tying all of this season’s plot lines together.

Grogu is nowhere to be seen by the time the sequel trilogy rolls around, so eventually there's some kind of story behind that.

Although we know from Yoda that their species can have a very long life span (800 years) so 30 years after the time setting of "The Mandalorian" he may still be a child or a young adolescent. But it seems curious he wouldn't have some role to play in the overall storyline.

Maybe by the time of the Epilogue Trilogy (Eps. 10-11-12) he'll be an up and coming teenager.

I got a kick out of that. I assume we will see more of that one more thing.
