How did the New Republic let it come to this?

The very existence of the show is dependent on Star Wars preceding it. And yes, I've skipped episodes because I'm often not looking for a compelling narrative watching most of those shows. I'm looking for - is it good?

That said, enough from me. To each their own.

The best joke I've seen about this is that you see Pedro Pascal as much in season three as Gina Carano.

How is it good without a compelling narrative? You are making no sense, which makes me think you are shitting on it just for the sake of shitting on it.

Star Wars got people in the door, but it isn't what got people to stay. It isn't just a cute little creature, either. That only goes so far. They created new characters and told good stories. That is where it started. They didn't really start digging into the lore until the second season. The lore did get in the way at times this season, but the worst of the cameos had nothing to do with Star Wars. (Lizzo and Jack Black? WTF?

I absolutely get your take on the current season, but the rest of what you are posting makes me wonder if you even watched it at all.

You can stop right there. That’s exactly it.

I’ve finally caught up. All I can say is Gro-fucking-gu!!!!

So much action in that last episode and a good foundation to sprout other things.

I guess either there was no traitor or they’re saving it for the return of Gideon (because, he’s coming back I’m sure).

I’m also wondering if it will be in Asoka but since we got a Zeb cameo why we didn’t see Sabine in the recapture of Mandalor?

We didn’t “see” Gideon die, so I assume we’ll see him again. Love Giancarlo Esposito, so bring it on.

The case for really being dead is to clear the deck for big baddie Thrawn. But also no reason they couldn’t team up in pursuit Mando and Gro.

"The Spies" episode title is still a bit confusing.

I was also expecting to see Sabine Wren, but we already know she is in Ahsoka along with Hera, Chopper, and Ezra, and Thrawn. I had only watched a few episodes of Rebels when it was on, but I'm binging it now.

We saw Gideon consumed by the flames from the explosion, the same fire that would have consumed Bo Katan and Din Djarin if not for Grogu blocking it.

Agree. But I'm a firm believer in movies and TV that unless you see someone draw their last breath, they can always come back. Perhaps his fancy new suit saved him. Or a clone survived/there were more clones elsewhere.

I think it’s a Biblical reference (chapter 13 of Numbers).

That could be, especially given all the religious references in the show. (This isn't something I noticed. I have watched some reviews of episodes on Screen Crush.)
