Re: Running Derek Jeter Thread Vol. 1: COUNT THE RINGS

Don't hurt your back trying to move those goalposts on Thomas. You said he was just another 1B/DH after his first eight years. I proved you wrong. Period. That is failure number one.

Play whatever games you want. You are actually trying to argue that Derek Jeter belongs on the same level with Ted Williams, thus proving you are a clueless, delusional fanboy. End of story. Please resume your fellation of your hero Jetes on your own time.

No, the point I was making is that from 1998 on, there were 5-10 first basemen that were as good or better than Frank Thomas (the names I listed). You can't say there were that many shortstops better than Jeter over his career, even when Nomar, ARod, Tejada etc were at their peak.

I've enjoyed the back and forth and arguments on this thread but I wish you and others wouldn't make this personal (I've lost count of how many fellation references I've seen)

Addressing the intangibles/captain point: It's not Jeter's job to coddle ARod...any issues he's had have been of his own making. If ARod wanted to step up and be a leader on the Yankees team, he could.

Wow. Don't read a thread for a week or so and look what you miss ...

That's the laugh I've been looking for.

    Not sure what's funny there.

I will go out on a limb and call the day Jeter will pass Rose:

Can you give us the inning, time, opposing team, ballpark and pitcher too, Nostradumbass?

Coddle him? Give me a break. If he hadn't ever stood up for a teammate in trouble, that would have been fine. But he stood up for Giambi and not Rodriguez because he put himself before the good of the team, something he does more than once. Sorry, you don't get credit for leadership if you do things like that.

We're not comparing these guys to their position. We're comparing them to each other. And in that, Jeter is clearly behind Thomas and so far behind Williams it isn't even funny that you are foolish enough to try to argue otherwise.

Regarding the blow job comments, if the knee pads seem to fit....

What do you expect from a guy trying to argue that Derek Jeter is as good as Ted Williams was?

Well, Jetes is a better fighter pilot so that has to count for something, right?

Derek Jeter once stopped Chuck Norris's heart with a stern look.
