Well, that's a bit more reasonable than suggesting he's Jesus Jr. in pinstripes as you have throughout this thread.

Top 5 the last two years? Sorry, and thanks for playing our game.

My bad. I thought he meant top five at his position on the YANKEE roster!

A big reason why I believe Jeter is better than Ted Williams:

Williams only played in 1 postseason and went 5 for 30!

I don't need to remind you that Jeter has set all sorts of postseason records.

To me, Ted Williams is a lot like Bean's Oakland teams of 10 years ago: Awesome in the regular season, but overmatched when it comes to the playoffs.

And it's not like he was stuck on bad teams; Boston almost always had winning teams during his career but they always fell short.

Things are looking even worse for Kevin Long. Now, news has come out that Jeter sought out his old coach while on the DL. If Long is of no use to the Yankees' players, what are they paying him for??

Once again, Captain Intangibles does his best to disrupt the Yankee ship.

The problem here is that Long was content to let Jeter muddle through the season with a .260 average. Long, being a mediocre hitter during his minor league career, obviously thought that was acceptable.

Also, I think it's to Jeter's credit that he wasn't satisfied with his performance in the first half and sought outside help to get back on track. If that hurts Long's feelings, then too bad.

ESPN crunches the numbers and concludes that Jeter will hit .300 for the season.

It's also notable that Jetes has had five four-hit games this year, matching his career high set in 1998 and 2000. Given the changing offensive climate since 2000, this might be his most remarkable season yet.

I can't wait to see what he has in store over the final 6 weeks of the season.

I know I shouldn't feed the troll, but if Long (and his .273 average in the minors) was mediocre, what does that say about Denbo and his .208 lifetime mark in the minors. Or was Denbo content with mediocrity as well before being blessed by the presence of St. Jetes?

Since July 3rd, Jeter has been better than Adrian Gonzalez. never would have thought that.

Please, pretty please with sugar on top, tell us that you forgot the blue font and that you're being sarcastic and just did a lousy job of doing so. Because I would really hate to think that you're serious with this post.
