    I'
You know what, I don't want to keep running down Ted Williams. He was a great American and is still considered one of the greatest hitters ever. I think he would be honored to be compared with Jeter.

    Comeback player of the year?

If he continues to hit like this the rest of the year can he win MVP? It's not without precedent, George Brett missed 50 games in 1980 and was only batting around .250 two months into the season.

    We'll never know, will we?

He's been the best hitter on the planet this month. Should've let him swing away

I walked out of the house in the bottom of the 9th and followed the last inning on my iPhone using the MLB app (the game cast, not the radio).

So, all I know is that Swish flew out.

Fuck. To come from down 6-0,headed to the bottom of the 8th would have been sweet.

Ridiculous. They put Jeter #2 behind ARod. I think you have to disqualify ARod...I enjoy having his bat in the lineup from April through September, but he's just a very unattractive man. More so as he ages.

It looks like someone spent about 5 minutes coming up with that list.

Is it wrong that I read your post in a mumbled tone as if you were saying it whilst you were getting mouth pregnant from Jetes?

I don't usually blow men, but when I do I prefer Jetes. :)

Seriously though, I'm starting to wonder about some of y'all. I've lost track of how many fellatio references there have been on this thread. Jetes is an attractive, well-groomed man. I can say that and still be solidly heterosexual.

If you would stop verbally blowing the guy, we would stop with teh fellatio references.

Better than Adrian Gonzalez? More pure comedy.

Of course, you're once again ignoring the fact that only one team made the playoffs in each league in WIlliams' era.

How can you be so obtuse?

There were also half as many teams then so it's basically the same.. Ted Williams was blunt, I'm sure he would bd the first to tell you he stunk in the playoffs.

He didn't have the Yankees buying their way into contention every year around him, so no, it's not the same.
