Watching that HBO special will be a little awkward now for Jeter. Does Mr. Jeter have to teach the rules of baseball in the luxury box to yet another starlet?

My money is that the Jeter-Kelly relationship will end up being longer than Charlie's Angels runs. Maybe she can be back for the playoffs.

I had no idea Dr. Turk hit that. Kudos to him.

Jeter is now dating Ian O'Connor, but he calls Manky Jimy after 2 a.m. when Ian is out of town.

other than fanboi freaks like manky, i'm as big appeciative of jeter's talents , the way he plays, etc., as any right-thinking baseball fan can be. and it's been quite aant SHOCK to see him hit the way he has since the break, given he'd gone a season-and-a-half looking well on the downhill.

of course, this rennaissance, short-lived as it figures to be (it won't stretch NEARLY long enough for jeter to reach the 4,000 mark), does come with a sobering footnote to quell the celebration: it means there won't be ANY shutting up of the mankster for a fair amount of time now.

i fully admit i was among the countless 'sane' observers who figured manky would have little choice but to quietly skulk off into oblivion by season's end.

oh, well. who the heck knows how many pages this thread will grow to by the time mank's dreams are laid to rest?

What are his dreams? To have Jeter finish on his face?
