There is a glitch in the message board, that's happened to me before.

Derek Jeter is nothing more – or less – than Craig Biggio in pinstripes.

If he didn't play in New York for the Yankees, we'd never hear any of this nonsense about Jeter being a, "player for the ages."

Good player, maybe even a Hall of Famer, but he ain't DiMaggio or Mantle. Not even close.

Maybe a Hall of Famer? That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard yet.

Apparently, traditional metrics of what makes a player a Hall of Famer disagree: http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/hof_monitor.shtml

Really? Perhaps you should go back and ready 95 percent of what you've posted on this thread. That DEFINES ridiculous.

Lima Time 30 points ahead of Santana? Something off there. And it seems to overvalue singles hitters.

I guess it's ridiculous to call Jeter what he is: one of the greatest players of all time.

Welcome to the real world! Great player in his era, yes. One of the greatest of all-time? Doubtful.

And that's why you don't sacrifice with Jetes.

First & second, no outs in the third inning of a 1-0 game. The Captain rips an HR to left to put the Yankees up 4-0.

He is the 3rd greatest shortstop of all time, with many years left in his career. How is he not an all time great?
